Today we have member Ashley Payne (Sales Associate at GOA / Artist Management) interviewing SOLID alumnus Jennifer Smith Wolczyk. Enjoy!
 
Ashley: What is your title/company?
Jennifer: Whizbang – Music Licensing

Ashley: What years were you in SOLID?
Jennifer: 2009-2011 (Community Outreach Chair, Secretary)

Ashley: What is your favorite SOLID event/memory/story?
Jennifer: I can’t narrow down to just one event. I loved all the workshops but I really enjoyed preparing for and working the annual Yard Sale. This was one of the best times to get to spend quality time with other SOLID members and alumni. Knowing that all the hard work and long hours of prep work would result in a chance to raise money for SOLID’s continuing growth was a huge plus! Also we decided to start giving a percentage of earnings to a local charity and that is rewarding!

Another funny memory – When folks in our New Member class sang and danced the correct choreography to Beyonce’s Single Ladies. Pete Anderson had it down!

Ashley: What is one piece of advice for current SOLID members?
Jennifer: Network! Attend as many events as you can and get to know folks beyond your New Member Class or committee. Get to know alumni members too!

Ashley: Is there anything you would have changed about SOLID while you were a member?
Jennifer: I loved my SOLID experience as an active member. I wouldn’t change a thing! What I need to do is to change my alumni experience by attending more events and getting to know new members!
